What To Expect

Warm faces.
At Cedar Rock, there are no strangers, only new friends. You can expect a warm welcome, a firm handshake, and people lingering after the worship service to catch up. Guess what? We genuinely like each other, and we genuinely love our community.

A family-friendly environment.
We have a growing group of families and children, and ministries (like Sunday School, KidsConnect, and Youth) to help them learn more about the God who loves them! If you have children, we welcome them to stay in the worship service. The noise won’t bother us! But if you’d prefer, your young children can attend a nursery in a loving, safe environment.

The Word. Period.
We teach and preach directly from God’s Word, not from someone’s opinion. We really believe the Scriptures are “breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16) — and this affects everything we do.

Vintage worship.
Gather in an old stain-glassed sanctuary. Sing a mixture of well-loved hymns and newer praise songs. And hear the gospel proclaimed from our musicians, choir, and soloists. We have gifted musicians of all ages and backgrounds, but what’s most important is the Savior they sing about.

Missional hearts.
We believe the Great Commission — that God has commanded us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” And that starts right here in our own community. We are passionate about sharing that good news with our friends and neighbors in Castalia, Louisburg, and beyond — because we believe the gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).
